Tips On Using The Whole House Fan

Instead of running your A/C constantly, you can run your fan in the morning or evening to take advantage of the cooler times of the day. You replace your house with fresh, cool air from outside which requires minimal A/C usage during the middle of the day.

Crack open a window that is near your desk, if you want to take advantage of a breeze effect that will inevitably come from the window. Imagine a wind tunnel that travels from the outside, through your house, up into the attic and out the vents.

Take advantage of the timer on the switch control to set how long the fan will run. For example, if you need the house to be cold at night, set the timer before you go to bed.

Set at a low speed. If you are concerned about the noise level of the fan, set the speed to "low" to minimize the already quiet nature of the fan. Remember, the fan is much quieter than your traditional belt drive fan, which is often compared to the sound of a helicopter right above your house.

And that's it! There isn't much to it, a simple product that saves you money in the pursuit of staying cool through those long, hot summers in California!
